Society for the Advancement of Native Interests-Today or SANI-T (pronounced “sanity”) is a non-profit organization advocating for Natives on Native issues or interests in Education, Employment, Housing, Healthcare, Social Justice and Equal Opportunity.

People united in healing and moving beyond the affects of Native oppression through creative strategies and decisive action.
VISION
To create a region offering fantastic opportunities, pervasive justice, and meaningful lives for all people.
SANI-T is committed to proactive solutions and peaceful, constructive strategies---including educational presentations - “Becoming Culturally Responsive” for the Non-Native community and our recently developed “Walking In Two Worlds” curriculum for Native people learning to navigate in the dominant system. Other trainings available:
- Returning to Plenty - Financial Management for Native people
- Healing Historical Trauma - Addressing the generational wounds of oppression
- Know Your Rights - Information regarding tenants, courts, systems
We are acknowledged in Rapid City as an important organization, accepted on most levels in city systems.
SANI-T has formed collaborative partnerships with the ACLU (American Civil Liberties Union) & the NAACP (National Association for the Advancement of Colored People) of South Dakota.
